ABOUT US

From the 4th century BC, "Serica" was the name that the Greeks and Romans called the land of silk, that is, China, where the development of massage therapy dates back to 1250 BC. In the West, it is Dr. Pehr Henrik Ling, elected in 1831 to the Swedish Medical Academy, who is considered "the father of Western massage therapy". With the help of a Chinese massage therapist named "Ming", Dr. Ling created "Swedish massage". Nowadays, massage therapy is part of the university training offered by about thirty medical universities in China.

By combining Chinese and Western massage techniques, in the Montreal Metropolitan Community, Serica School offers future massage therapists courses designed by holders of university degrees in the field, who come from the country of origin of massage therapy and integrate in perfect harmony in the world of massage therapy in Quebec.
